Calls for Raz to be dropped and been getting a lot of flack, liked heavily by users, sprinkled with an occasional kind word, on BBC's live minute by minute page.

And Sterling still has 2 assists.
Kane didn't exactly play so great, but barely a blip said about that.

Finally we get this:
Michael Wheeler: Fed up with the criticism of Raheem Sterling. Fair enough, not at the heights of his league performances, but two assists, some good runs and some good balls through mean he doesn't deserve being singled out for criticism.

Well played England. Enjoyed that.
Just as an aside, imagine what City would’ve done to Panama. Double figures?

Two pub teams beaten it will get harder . Sterling and Lingard link well together , Lingard gets all the plaudits Sterling gets endless shit . Defensively Maguire looks like an accident waiting to happen when up against more formidable opponents but I really like his attitude . Pleased for John Stones today but we all know there is a mistake in him aswell . Jordan Henderson does my fucking head in but he is another who somehow is exempt from media criticism ??? his work rate is decent though ! All in all about as good as it could be so far and the England team look to be growing in confidence , can Southgate come up with a tactical master class when we play a proper team though ?

Maguire and loftus cheek were utter garbage today but Henderson takes shit to a new level.
I honestly wouldn't let that clown on the pitch if it was only to paint the lines.
I find it incredible that anyone thinks the cnt can play football and that idiot Danny murphy thinks " Jordan" was a candidate for motm.

Cheer up pal, it's early doors. I'm looking for progress and 2020 at the earliest for this squad to shine. 2022 as a bonus.

An interesting game where you never heard of these players, it was all about the forwards, and Stones.

There's some right fucking negative fuckers on this thread....and one is the fuckign number 1 cunt that has a go at Man city thread posters ..PMSL..you couldn't make it up could you.
We all played really well and is the most exciting England team I've known since Bobby Robson's tenure....which is why I've done a U turn and am really into this WC.
P.S to the negative cunts , we can only play whats infront of us.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

A good result and Southgate tries to play football in contrast to some previous managers.
Our biggest weaknesses are that while Southgate seems to set teams up well before a game, his in-game changes seem limited, and we have a very weak midfield which will be exposed against better opposition.
The FA should stick with Southgate, on condition that he adds an astute tactician for his team, and say we are building for 2022, when hopefully we will get Phil Foden and his crew coming through. I'm not holding my breath through

As a (semi) neutral, I really enjoy this England edition. I think your weakest point is your midfield, which will be evident when you play better teams. I actually think your best bet to make it really far in this competition would have been to emulate Liverpool rather than City. Shoot me down if you want, but a Milner/Henderson midfield is probably what you need when you come up against Spain/Germany/Brasil.
