Unbelievable scenes as Algeria go down to ten men and concede a penalty.

Hosny literally completely stops in his run up, dummies to shoot on the keeper and then passes his penalty for 1-0. Out of order.

THe keeper then goes absolutely apeshit nuts, runs after the ref, spins him round, and 'pracically headbutts him' to quote the commentator! Yellow card. Mental.

The coverage is terrible as well, the tv company were showing extended highlights of the goal celebration while the goalie was trying to eat the ref. The ref looked like a rabbit in the headlights, cacking himself.

I look forward to you correcting me but i take it you've not been following the tournament to closely? This ignorant comment ranks up there with yesterday's who the fuck and why are we going after them re moses and johnson.

Some of the match ups are obv not great but same goes for world cup group stage games. Refereeing is suspect as is some goalkeeping but there has been and will be some scintillating outfield play.

You should maybe expand your horizons mate.

In terms of last night's match well it was crazy stuff. Interesting to see what happens to the keeper. And there could be some serious civil and political fallout to this between the two countries after the history and specifically after the events in cairo for the world cup qualifier.

More like Algeria were a joke. Clearly some political motivation and bad feeling in the stupid tackles, but Algeria deserved 3 red cards, plain and simple. And they were lucky their keeper stayed on the pitch for so long, should have walked sooner.

Some shocking tackles especially Bel Hadj. These guys hate each other so much. Think England should prefer to play Algeria rather than Egypt (they fought out the CAF playoff as well).
