Why have Celtic suddenly turned into our feeder club? What’s in it for us? Can’t see them paying big loan fees and we don’t appear to have first refusal on their players.
The day we want first refusal on any Celtic player will be a sad day

I can only guess the chance of chumps league experience is the appeal of loaning them players

Good.
Never gonna be an automatic first teamer IMO. But seems to me to be a very handy squad player who can slot in a couple of positions adequately. And he seems to have the mentality that a squad player needs, ie not kicking up a fuss when he’s not playing and causing disruption in the dresssing room and being ready to step in when required. We’d struggle to find such a player for £16M so keeping him for me is good business
I agree with this. If I'm not mistaken Wolves want him as left back / wing back, and I don't think Zinchenko wants to be pigeonholed as one, so I do understand his motivation to stay as well.

Apparently the rags agreed deals with Bayern and Atletico for Boateng and Godin, but both players turned the rags down! Love a good old SNUB

Still annoys me the VVD was sitting under noses being partnered by two consecutive City loan players and we still didn't think it was worth a gamble.
Victor Wanyama would have done a job for us for a few seasons too. I also think Kieran Tierney will eventually be a world class player. A better left-back than Andy Robertson for sure. Tore us apart with his pace in the CL.

Agree too. They have had a couple of handy players over the years that could of done a job for us.
Tierney is interesting, he would make a quality back up/challenger to mendy.

Yep. VVD was the one that sprang to mind but Tierney is constantly being talked about and though probably not worth the £25M bandied around we should thus get him a bit cheaper

Not heard a single word on Mangala yet this window. Assume he is back with us after the loan at Everton? Dont recall it was for longer than until the end of 2017/18?

He had surgery on knee ligaments apparently, there was nothing about timeframe for recovery from what I can recall.

Contract runs out in the summer so might be one hell of a loss, talk of us extending his contract if only so we can get some money for him when he recovers from injury - still can't remember the appearances that led to him taking home a medal - probably our only hope in getting a decent fee for him...Premiership winner Mangala!!!

The fuse was lit there at least 12 months ago.
