I certainly didn't make that connection myself, but some people on Twitter seem to think that the kit is "reprehensible".
I've no problem with it, I believe those that are making that link need to take their heads out of their arse.
That's what i thought as well, but I'm not (Northern) Irish, so to me it's just an orange stripe.

I think it looks shite with or without Orange order connotations. Honestly do people go out of their way to be offended?
Where did these Orange Order connotations come from?
The shirt looks shite! Plain and simple! You don't need to look for any other reason to hate it.

it’s not just the orange stripe though
purple and orange is an inflammatory combo
first thing i thought of when i saw the kit was the orange order sash so surely someone at city must have made the connection and thought that it may not be the greatest idea...
doesn’t bother me but it’s a self inflicted ‘mistake’ by the club.

If somebody can link that shirt to a political statement - they have serious issues

I don't mind it as it goes. Clearly not a patch on the red/black traditional away kit but the sash is not a bad thing.

Do you mean the away kit for this season? I think this is the 3rd/CL kit.

No not the away shirt for this season i am on about the old away shirt of black and red vertical stripes.
Surely for the third shirt it could be a theme on that traditional design.
Not something a 4 year old with a packet of crayons designed.
