I don't like him didn't last year with all his social media clowning around thought he was a knacker but was hopeful he was going to turn up on the pitch to warrant all the sm bravado but no he's got about 10 mistakes per game in him, more confident with Delph and sane on the left.

I really can't blame him for last night, it was almost impossible to play good on that pitch.
In general, this season Mendy looked decent, not great. For me he is ok so far, wait until the end of the season and see what happens.

If he helps us to win the chimps league and prem, all of a sudden he's a legend and all his antics are forgotten.

He's talented, hes not a defensive full back, he's all about bombarding forward. He can be dick with his media antics, he looks like a clown defensively but devastating going forward albeit yesterday was a night to forget.

If he gets his act together and knuckles down, I believe he could become best left back in the world; going forward will compensate for his defensive shortcomings.

At end of the day he's our dick.

We concede less goals with Mendy in the team probably as he usually keeps right sided players pegged back with his attacking. In most games he does enough defensively to get by, but that game when he didn’t even chase back he looked awful. Against Liverpool he really pulled his weight so we know he can do it too. Here’s hoping this was a really awful blip.
