If I was a Chelsea fan I'd be very worried because this sounds like the final act from a desperate man. Once he's had the pleasure of watching the present team, if he can't bend the rules to stop us, rather than trying to build a new one, he may just admit defeat & stop investing.

If our wage bill is higher than our income over the 3 year period though, this would still mean we can't play in the Chump's league ,therefore even if we use young players & manage to get our wage bill etc within control, chances are we have no money left to compete in the transfer market for even one player without bringing in money & therefore going outside the Platini cartel's rules.

Good good then. As U***d and Real Madrid are around £600m in debt I will expect no major signings and a complete firesale of stars over the next 2 years as they rush to beat the deadline ....... will this happen? Will it bollocks, end of. Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea too are in mountains of debt which they have zero chance of clearing within 2 years - especially Liverpool who are skint and still trying to finance a new stadoium to boot - as I'd suggest are most of the other clubs in the current G14.
It's hyperbole that is unworkable in real life and any such case against a single club would either bring virtually all the others down, or be completely thrown out. Imagine Uefa being allowed to pick through some of the dodgy finances of these clubs - not a chance.
I'll be expecting a Champions League with Ajax winning it every year then!
John68 - spot on analysis too on City's quick moves this summer.

I think you've missed a point that already been made.
The Sheik owns our airline sponsor. That airline can sponsor us for a couple of hundred million a year which would easily cover our wage bill, leaving all other income for transfers and the running of the club. The other thing is that if Platini's plan comes into force I reckon the transfer value of players would plummit and probably players wages.
I also don't think this is aimed just at us, if you look at a number of Bundesliga clubs (Wolfsburg are an example) they've been backed by some very wealthy people so Platini's probably trying to help out his Bayern Munich mates as well.

But what really makes my blood boil is the fact that twats like Abramovich support his now because now it suits them. There is a bigger bully now in the game and they are crying for their mothers now after they bullied everyone for years.

We would have to create revenue that sustains a massive wage bill at that point.
The solution is to sell the players contracts to the Sheikh's new company "MSI" and loan them to the club, costing us nothing.

They'll just bring in a rule to stop it. If they do persist with this I can't see any outcome other than a court case or at least the threat of legal action but I can't see any possible scenario where we'd lose such a case so presumably the UEFA lawyers will tell Platini that.

Fine, they will dump enough cash into the manchester city accounts that the interest alone will sustain us. Trust me these arabs are gonna be knocking over cleverer ideas than you and I can come up with.
