I agree, I'm just looking for some explanation. The Times reports that City spent three days on the application and paprwork only to have it turned down. Whilst over at Trafford docks they are importing things with 'Made in China' on them ! I guess he's going to be working in the kitchens serving up more exotic recipes.

So is our derby day hero still a City player or has he gone? And where?

It's fucking daft. Nothing happens for four weeks then everyone goes like hell for leather in the last 24 hours. I understand the posturing between clubs and the hagling but if clubs are missing out on their targets, like we are reported to have done, then it makes no sense at all.

I actually think transfer windows should be scrapped, I don't see the up side of them. Clubs should be able to do a deal all year round.

Transfers have gotten so daft in this country now, and Spurs have become so stupid theyve started resigning players theyve sold as a habit - they must be addicted to it.

We've had Defoe out then in again, Kaboul out then in again, Chimbonda out then in ... and then out again, and keane out then in ... and then out again - what a fucling farce

So has he gone yet....surely it can't take this long for the F.A to look through the paperwork, and one more thing is this gonna be a loan or a permanent move?

Never mind i answerd my own questions.

Sunderland still waiting for Benjani update

Sunderland are still waiting to hear if the Premier League will ratify their loan signing of Benjani Mwaruwari from Manchester City.

The Black Cats agreed a loan deal with Manchester City for the Zimbabwe striker ahead of Monday's 5pm deadline but experienced difficulties as they attempted to process the paperwork.

They advised the Football Association and Premier League of their problems and are hopeful the deal will be signed off.

A statement on the club's official website on Tuesday afternoon said they were still to hear.

It read: "The paperwork was completed well ahead of the deadline but technical problems with the club's network meant that email, telephone and fax systems at the training ground were not operating properly.

"Club officials are waiting for word of a decision by the Premier League. A timescale on the decision is unknown as yet."

I can imagine him just sitting there in the boardroom with a contract written up and him just smiling like a fool while they try to communicate with him that he needs to sign on the dotted line haha

Seeing that we didn't get any other striker in this window, I think it's stupid loaning Benjani out. OK, he's not a player for the starting eleven, but depth is always good.
