MotM v Everton

Postby Beefymcfc » Sat Sep 28, 2019 6:44 pm

Difficult game but we came through when needed.

Can I just say that I think we are really up against it this season, worse than last, and the players are stepping up once again.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Clearly?! Ed doesn't make those two saves and we've not won! Not clear really.

Edit: Mahrez was class today, before I get accused of hating.

Hands up I've not been his biggest fan and didn't expect to be voting for him MOTM any time soon but he very much deserves it today

Ederson deserves a massive mention and I hope he's not damaged his hand any

Ed, but Mahrez ran him close.

MOTD highlighted Mahrez and I missed one of the best touches I've seen from any player over the last few years when Ederson kicked it 60 yards to him - he was 1 foot from the sideline with a defender right on him and still managed to bring the ball down no problem. Absolutely incredible

Gave it to Mahrez, but could have given it to Ederson too - very fitting that it's 13 v 13 in the poll at the moment.

I went for big Ed, Mahrez was excellent today. I thought Rodri had a good game with little support in the midfield
Serg was excellent when he came on

Up against it as right son, you can sing that, you have never said a more true statement.
Never have I felt it more than now, I suppose they think that they smell blood. We will rise to it.
But given the current state of play. I have a bad feeling they will do us this time.
It's all set up for them.
