He needs to play more - there have been premiership games where we have been coasting this season yet has not played a minute of any of them - if he doesn’t play more then do not bank on him staying just because he fuckign supports us - he wants to play and deserves to play ahead of so called senior players who have been playing average at best .

From what I know of the way his parents acted when he was playing for the kids and he got taken off I'm surprised he's still here

Well he made a big show of kissing the badge when he score so I don't think he's going anywhere

I don't think he'll go. He'll be here at least another season with Dave going at the end of this one.

My point is his family don't fuck about. He's been subbed playing for the kids and they've just pulled him from being at the game and taken him home straight away. City had to send reps around to apologise for him being subbed (mental) because they knew how good Foden was. I think Pep has been told and that's why he's constantly apologising for not playing him more.

There's games where you think, 'right we're winning by 3 let's see Foden' and he'll bring on someone else. The apologising from Pep will get old at some point.

Pep chatting more shit last night. Deserves its own thread really some of the crap he comes out with.

Apparently Gundo is one of the best signings the club has done IN ITS HISTORY.

I never ever watch post and pre match pressers. If I were Pep I would also get sick of all the stupid questions and just say the first thing that popped into my head, without giving it any thought at all. Or I would flat out lie and just make shit up.

Nothing Pep says in public can be believed. Thats also why Im thinking Phil will leave. Pep can say anything he wants about how good he thinks Foden is but he hasnt backed it up by playing him outside of the cups. He also keeps saying Phil is young...hes not anymore even in footballing years. Foden isnt going to sit around and wait thinking "im still young". Im sure if someone did research about the number of minutes players Foden's age or younger have gotten over the last 2 seasons in Europe's top 5 there would be lots of guys getting way more minutes than Phil. Now, whether Phil is good enough to supplant the other, better players we have is another story

i'd like him to play more as well but the fact remains he's played more minutes than any of the Class of 92 at the same age.
He's played approx 3000 minutes for us at 19. Scholes made his debut for utd at 19.Ferguson was praised by all for protecting young players, Pep is slaughtered.

By the end of last season he had more minutes of senior club football than Gerrard, Lampard and Scholes combined had at the same age.

How many more minutes than his actual peers though? Sancho for example?

Where are you getting those numbers from? It's just over 1500 minutes if you exclude FA Youth Cup, U23s and UEFA Youth League (i.e. only count first-team appearances), over a third of which have come from the League Cup.

Obviously Gerrard - he won quite a few medals mind.
I'd seen the Foden minutes stat on twitter last night. Just googled it, 1215 minutes in 17/18, 2398 in 18/19.

The only website I can see that says that is one called 'fctables.com'. Included in those 2398 minutes for 2018/19 are 119 in the 2018 Community Shield - a match which only lasted 90 minutes, and which he only played 75 of. It also says he played 166 minutes in the 2017/18 Community Shield the year before, so I guess the website is just making stuff up.

Foden is a special talent and deserves to play more.
If your good enough your old enough - we have to stop with the “protect him “ bullshit.

Also , I wouldn’t mind too much if his colleagues were playing great game after game , but they aren’t are they.

PEP has zero excuse not playing him when we are coasting a game with 20 mins to go .

He can't drop Gundo cause Gundo is one of City's best ever signings.
