Lawro & Champagne Charlie Predictions v Eagles (A)

Postby Wonderwall » Fri Oct 18, 2019 2:58 pm

This week Lawro is up against BBC football pundit Alex Scott and her Strictly Come Dancing partner Neil Jones.

Lawro and Charlie both predicting a comfortable win, Charlie has been on the funny stuff again, wasnt it Norwich he predicted us to win 6-2? Maybe he has a hex and is trying his luck again!

Lawro says

Crystal Palace v Man City (17:30 BST)
Manchester City have had a few problems against Crystal Palace in the recent past but they will go into this game fully focused, knowing they cannot afford to drop any more points in the title race.

John Stones is in contention to return to the City defence after injury, which will be useful, because Nicolas Otamendi clearly needs some help.

City will still have to fight to win this one but I think they will be find a way through, and end the Eagles' unbeaten home start.

Lawro's prediction: 0-3
Alex's prediction: 0-2
Neil's prediction: 1-4

Charlies says

We say it is a decent start to the season because of the points Crystal Palace have. Are they doing well? They have not been outstanding. Two weeks ago Wilfried Zaha had a cracker.

He may have got over the transfer saga, but why has it taken him so long? The Arsenal and Everton deals were dead, but did he want to leave? Of course he did! He is stuck here so that is why he is giving his best.

He is the best player at Crystal Palace but it shows how individual it can become. Roy Hodgson has done brilliantly to piece it all together. Man City will know Liverpool have a tough game though and will be wondering whether they can take advantage, which they will.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-5

Be happy with a 1-0. Cant see any of the posted scores happening myself. CCs 5-1 is laughable. Stand to be corrected but think they've only conceded once at home so far this season

Hmm, Charlie’s blurb doesn’t make much sense , like his score. At least they all think we will win

They're more confident than me.
