Lawro & Champagne Charlie Predictions v Saints (H)

Lawro is up against someone I havent heard of today (old age setting in)

This week he is up against Tommy O'Dell from Australian rock band DMA'S, whose new single Silver is out now.
Tommy is from Sydney but his dad is an Everton fan from Liverpool - and he says he had no choice on who to support.

I did not know Ralph Hasenhuttl's assistant, Danny Rohl, had left for a role with Bayern Munich over the summer.

It might be a coincidence that Saints' form has dropped away so badly since he left - but it might not be.

Their 9-0 defeat at home to Leicester means the pressure is on Hasenhuttl to turn things around and his side's defence has to be his priority.

In total, Saints have conceded 17 goals in their past four games, which is not going to win them any prizes. A second trip to Etihad Stadium in the space of four days does not help much, either.

Pep Guardiola will pick a stronger team this time, and I think Manchester City will win by a bigger margin than their 3-1 victory in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

Lawro's prediction: 4-0
DMA'S prediction: 4-0

What a wonder result for Southampton, only losing 3-1 through the week to - dare I say - ease the pain. Should Ralph Hasenhuttl be under pressure? No and don't think he is. It is one of the weekends where Southampton will wonder what to do. They will want to get over the line without being too embarrassed.

Will Pep Guardiola rest some players? There is an international break coming up so I don't think he will. The title could go down to goal difference so they will want to rattle in as many goals as possible. If Southampton want to counter-attack and sit in then so be it, City will welcome it. It is another hammering incoming.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 5-0

Hate when they are all confident about a win.
