Silva being 'injured' is a convenient way to keep the pressure off the team going into Sunday's game. Imagine the pre game bs from the media if we dropped Merlin? This way , he's out and it apparently forces Pep to start young Phil. Who is confident and quick enough to run rings around lovren and mr Row Z himself.
