Official Sunday games and Robinho has come on thread

Postby Blueboylewis » Sun Feb 07, 2010 12:21 pm

One decent game and one great game today in the premier league. I will be watching both as my family is at a christening and i have the house to myself so i can sit on my ass infront of the tv whilst getting my coursework done. I will be eager to see Joe Hart in action for Birmingham and i will report how he does in the loan reports thread. And also the game at stamford bridge between Chelsea and Arsenal which will be a cracker! We should all be hoping for a chelsea win as they can get back above united i think and it will be good for us seeing Arsenal lose.

Fixtures and times for the matches in the premier league below-

Birmingham City vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers
13:30 until 15:30

Chelsea vs. Arsenal
16:00 until 18:00

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Onto our Loanees and Robinho should be making his debut for Santos tonight against Sao Paulo which is a 7pm kickoff in uk time.
And Felipe Caicedo should also be playing today against Malaga which is a 4pm kickoff.

Felipe caicedo
Malaga CF vs. Deportivo la Coruna
16:00 until 18:00

Robinho
Sao Paulo FC vs. Santos FC
19:00 until 21:00

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And there are also a couple of good italian games on which if i get time for i might watch them. But only if they dont over run the premier league matches.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

pm me if you want any links to streams for any of the games today.

Brum play a very similar game to us. Wolves stuffed em in the 1st half when Brum sat back. Now Wolves are sitting back, Brum are getting further forward with Wolves trying to get another on the break.

Birmingham 2-1 Wolves

Kevin Phillips has come of the bench and has scored 2!

His second was wonderful control where he chested it and then vollyed into the corner from inside the box. Great finish!

Birmingham have been very impressive this season and could even be a contender for a Champions League spot.

Don't believe me? Check the league table.

They've been good today as has Joe Hart.

Yeah, even though I expect them to fall off the pace they have to be taken seriously in this kind of form. And I really thought Wolves were going to get something today - they were quite comfortable in the second half until Phillips came on.

I mainly watched that game to see how Hart would do, but he had a pretty quiet game in the end. Didn't really get to see him come and claim any crosses (wanted a comparison with Given here) or pull off any saves. One thing I did notice was how long he holds on to the ball sometimes... is the 6-second rule still in force? He caught a corner under his bar in the first half and took 17 seconds to release it! Seventeen seconds!

The 6 second rule is hardly ever enforced. Similar to players tugging on each others shirts in the penalty area is never a penalty but is always a free kick anywhere else.

Yeah I know, I can't remember seeing it enforced for years but I still thought 17 seconds was pushing it a bit. So long as the refs consistently don't give it then I suppose it's not an issue.

Get in! Just what we needed!

Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

A corner comes in and Terry heads it across to the far post and Drogba is there to knock it in.

Personally I think Malouda is shite.

Well obviously not shite but no where near top 4 player.
