i get the feeling Pep is more concerned at teams breaking away against us than taking chances in our attack. Both full backs are good attacking players but I can't recall one occasion where they have commited on an overlap or any sort of reall attacking threat. When the opposition play almost with a back 6 its important to have good energy , movement and numbers in attacking positions.

Come off it his defending was very poor. He looked vulnerable all night. The equaliser came down his side which was predictable.

Mendy has got no football brain ...the proof is there for all to see - has he ever ever ever looked up and picked out someone for a cross ? no !! he kicks it straight at one of their players and PeP needs to tell him that if he doesn't start crossing the fuckign ball to a blue head then he will be taken off.

I said he crosses the ball and at least provides a fuckign goal threat...Mendy has been skinned 3 times in that half !!!..3 times !!! and I wont mention the amount of times hes given the ball away.

If you cant see that and prefer to just focus on some of Angelinos misgivings then its pointless discussing.

We are seriously missing our injured players, all over the pitch. Leroy, Eric and Aguero are real game changers, not having them is draining for everybody.

At least you he Toon aren't going 6 at the back everytime we get the ball, that could be an opening for the likes of Bernardo.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Shouldn’t be making excuses with this team out we are playing really poor we need to step up our game and start taking chances.

The first job of a defender is to defend. Angelino isnt in the team as a winger. He was continually out of position leaving acres of space for the Shakhtar winger.

Jesús will never ever ever be the answer - in the summer we need to buy a top forward and if Jesus stays he will always be second choice .

I don’t rate him and he can’t head a ball for toffee

When we go forward, its way to slow, Newcastle are just waiting to get ball back and then 3-4 of them run at our backs, not take there time and go forward and then back

Im not defending Mendy just saying Angelino cant complain about being on the bench. Hes young and may improve his defending. In my view he needs to. Merlin has played decently and he’s about the only one so far. Just like on Tuesday nothing Kevin tries seems to be coming off. We’re really short when that happens,

Pathetic from Silva which results in a fucking goal scoring chance for Newcastle .
