Confirmed return leg v Real Madrid to be played in Manchester at the Etihad after MCFC put pressure on UEFA who were seeking an “alternative “ venue possibly in Portugal.

Had to be as Portugal still not open to Brits and vice versa they aren't the non quarantine list when returning (yet).
What's the date, given the draw is on the 10th?

Portugal's Links to Brazil must make the decision to hold anything there 100% Crazy, anyone following Brazil and C19. Football is run by loons.

Interesting that they bowed to pressure from us.
Maybe because the FFP judgement is still ongoing and they want to appear "reasonable people"?

Madrid are tricky fuckers they could have coached it up to a Bilbao training camp and onto Lisbon. Wankers.

It can only be our place after Real had their home advantage in first leg. Good to see that we have spoken up though if true

Yeah, UEFA won’t be happy with us calling the shots. They’ll do everything they can when we play to screw us over.

I was thinking more of how Madrid look like they will run with the league in Spain. Shocking favorable decisions.

It was also pressure from the other three Clubs with a Home leg to play as well, including Barcelona. We’re still at a disadvantage with no fans at the Etihad but the ultimate nonsense of Real benefiting from away goals in Portugal has at least been avoided.

The only option available given travel to Portugal currently requires quarantine.

Question is why were UEFA so desperate to play the rest of the CL in Portugal ? Almost everything UEFA does has a sinister undertone when it involves us ?

They've moved the super cup that was scheduled in Portugal to Budapest. Guess we will find out venues on Friday

I read yesterday that Wigan is one of the safest places now, COVID wise. Not sure if UEFA are aware and are considering Wigan?
