Everton, Chelsea and probably semi final matches all postponed. Which other first teamers involved?

it seems that we have 5 cases around/in the squad. Curious who, if there are the players.

Well key players will get a rest, but with so many games in the next few weeks it's going to be tough to reschedule them all. I assume the semi vs rags will be off too.

I can see the season being extended to be honest, which if things go reasonably well could mean more fans seeing more matches.
Edit: Actually the Euros will put paid to that, but if the fixtures stack up there will need to be space found somehow.

as much as i was looking forward to a couple of beers watching the game later on, i am actually quite happy it’s been postponed. 2 games in 48 hours is crap for the players. hopefully chelsea on sunday will be off as well. a nice rest for the players

Much as I am not disappointed to have to play Everton away just 2 days after our last game, this is wrong IMO.
We have a squad of 25. If we had 10 injured players we would be told to get on with it. So what if 4 or even 5 or 6 players have COVID, we have other players in the squad and the EDS who can play. This sets a very dangerous precedent IMO. What if an important game is coming up and a side has say 3 valuable players out injured or suspended and they know if they cancel the game they would be available for when it was replayed?
Taking my City tinted spectacles away and this is a very poor decision. Not least because of fixture congestion later in the season

Apparently it has been done on medical advice and neither club had a great deal of choice about it.
The same people from the merseyside area whining in their fucking loathsome high-pitched shitty-arsed voices that we should forfeit the game presumably said the same about Newcastle three weeks ago. No? Funny that.

Do footballers have to self isolate for 10 days like the rest of the population after being in contact with someone who has tested positive?

If they work to same government risk assessments we work with, then yes.
The bit I do not understand is that if one of is at work tests positive then we aren't allowed to do another test for 10 weeks after as the guidance states you can still test positive for that long even if you are past the stage of being able to pass it on to others.
When other half found out footie was in two days after last game she put me on a sex ban. This should be lifted now!!!!
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

The difference is that the players who haven't tested positive may have caught the virus but not shown up as positive yet, apparently it takes a few days before the test can give a positive. So you could have positive players coming into contact with players from another team and spreading the virus.

Times say three more positive cases all of them players. I hope none of them get a bad dose.
Everton wanted precise reasons for postponement. Surely the entire squad has to be in quarantine, not least to safeguard Everton players. A negative test isn’t sufficient to guarantee safe exposure.

Everton should be pleased . A serious chance they would be tonked tonight . City , were slowly getting to the level we've seen in previous seasons.
