Must admit, I was getting a bit concerned as to what I would do for tonight's match!

This message was sent at 2.30 at 4.50 I had to chase them again to sort it out, I was fully expecting to get home to find that it was still down, in which case I was on my way to Leeds to cause some damage! There was some disk corruption that caused a problem on the server - after running a full file system check and repairing the problem, some areas of your account were found to have been in the area of the disk that had the bad sectors so we are restoring the account. The reason for it taking so long is that your mysql database is so big. Restoring large databases takes a very long time -in some cases several days. Yours appears to be close to finishing now but I would expect it to take at least another 30 minutes or so.
We are obviously very sorry for the disruption but I'm sure you can understand that disk issues do happen from time to time and it is very difficult to predict or prevent this kind of problem.

If it wasn't such a big job to move servers I would be happy to tell them to fuck off and we will spend our money elsewhere!
