We started the summer with left back and striker the glaring holes in our squad and instead we’ve smashed the British transfer record on an attacking midfielder who is very good, but we didn’t actually need.
Spurs always valued Kane at £150m+ so I’m not sure why we thought we could get him for significantly less. Plus we didn’t help ourselves by spending £100m on Grealish when it’s fair to say Kane is the better player. We were never going to get Kane for a similar price to Grealish.
We have just repeated history haven’t we .
We signed Mahrez back when that position wasn’t needed (still isn’t needed) and now we signed Grealish when we don’t need that position either - Both are great players but
why on earth baldie thinks that the left back situation and an Agüero replacement isn’t priority over Grealish , only he will know .
The LB I agree on. The 9 we are dealing with Spurs ! Do PSG need Messi. Scum are still not dealing with CM I’d issues. Chelsea are going long ball, it’s the Final week of the window let’s see what it brings.
If we had Haaland lined up we would have dropped our interest in Kane?
If we had a plan B we would have dropped our interest in Kane ( and the target would have emerged by now)?
Levy, surprise surprise, is digging in and Kane will not take him on, head to head.
This whole saga looks like a massive miscalculation by US and Kane.
For whatever reason we thought we could get Kane, Kane thought he could force Levy to let him go (without a brawl - silly boy) but it is looking like US and Kane are wrong.
If we don't get him this is a shambles and we still have Mendy! Think about that.
