Of course, not much gets mentioned unless it’s us as the media love to cosy up to their click-bait audience.
Little different in the lower leagues where fans stay around to have a pint with the players in the lounge and able to take the 5 to 10 minute walk home.
The BBC live feed reported that fans were leaving Anfield at 2-2 with 10 minutes to go and questioning why you would do that. If I go to the cinema I don't watch the first 80 minutes of the film and leave with 10 minutes to go because I can read about the end of the movie on the internet.
I’m with you, mate. In all the time I’ve been going I’ve only left early twice. One was when Forest beat us in the Cup 3-0 when I had to get the kids back due to school in the morning, the other was when 3-1 up a couple of season back when I was with the Mrs and pre-planned a surprise in town where I couldn’t change the timings. To think, there were many around me who were about to leave just before the Aguero moment until I loudly told my mate to sit the fuck down.
It’s just the way it is, though. Having lived all over the country and various places around the world I will always try and take a game in if we aren’t playing and it’s more noticeable the further you go up the leagues. Some people just don’t want to be stuck in traffic, it’s the way they are.
Ps. Liverpool lost a 2-0 lead so it wasn’t their fault.
