I read (on here I think) that he was once drafted in as a late replacement at a fans forum, and was completely ignored, and since then has had a chip on his shoulder.

I don't understand all the bull about Dick VD. He's a row Z specialist nothing more and now he's old and his knee is crocked.

Agree Zuri, I think we debated here a while back on the subject.
I find him the most inflated center back of all time. He is decent, I would call it even very good, but they made him larger than man with all the bollox around him, made him despicable.
I keep on looking at him on the pitch, his gestures, the way he walks, how he moans non-stop, he is the definition of arrogance.
Even with Tranny I've seen small moments of normality, with this fella, nothing.

I really think he believes his own hype.
