Saints apparently are prepared to pay 10 million for Bazuna because Forster has joined spuds, I would have thought he was worth keeping and replacing Steffen as understudy, be interesting to see what happens here.

RE: the buy back clause. What happens if he smashes it this year and next summer Liverpool want to buy him? We get the first option to buy him but what if he doesn’t want to come back to us? Does he just stay at Southampton or would he be allowed to go to the other team?

Let's say buy back clause is ten mill but the club value him at 20, they have to accept our ten mill but all other clubs would have to meet the club's valuation (20m).

Player still has to accept terms so he can turn us down but then has to stay where he is unless other team meet the valuation.

It happens a lot in Madrid, a lot of their players seem to leave early to come back, Mariano Diaz is a recent example
