The original point was that he could go on loan to someone in the Prem and sign a new deal with City. He’s getting first team football and building up his reputation at the same time. Doesn’t make sense to refuse a contract if he wants first team football - he could get that on loan.
To be honest mate i dont think he would. Pep chooses the senior players, every time.
I would do another thing. Give him for free to Soton, but they can't sell him for 4 years and after 4 years we insert a buy back clause that becomes active. Instead of winning 10 mil now we can give him 4 years where he wants and see if he is capable.
