At the end of the day, the hierarchy you mention are employed by the very "state-owned" club barca are bad mouthing.

Whatever benefit the club might have thought they'd had by helping barca out has been shown to be little or nothing on the back of this and there's no way khaldoon will have the image of the club being dirtied while we're helping them.

Time to take our ball home now.

I am told that FC Barcelona is more than a football club?
The motto is 'more than a club' meaning it is a source of Catalan identity, culture and pride.
Even the way it was named, FCB, was an issue during Franco's time.
Our hierarchy are Catalonian and have a deep association with Barcelona.

They will continue to play soft ball with Barcelona and our owners will allow that because they are doing a superb job with City.

Based on that Dimples, the Spanish lads would have to explain why it should be ok to bad mouth us, considering the single most important thing to our owners is image.

They would have to explain the benefit from a business point of view, not from an "I'm from there, it's very special" point of view.

I don't buy it.

I would think this latest bullshit might result in words in the boardroom.

As a business, we are not benefiting from our relationship with barca.

Didn't Soriano want Barca to adopt the multi club model that he thought up when he was there but Laporte turned it down.

The reason they can't compete is because they're fucking shit at business and piss money up the wall. We're not even state fucking owned / backed. Why can't these dumb cunts read a set of accounts and see how much revenue we generate and how well run we are?

I kinda wish they'd go all Bielsa and do a 45 minute presentation in a press conference to show them how self sufficient we are... But it would give all our ideas and brilliance away!

During the CAS stuff i recall Pep getting a little frosty in a press conference and basically said Barca should shut up and get their own house in order.

The thing is FFP was introduced to stop City. They thought they could live with Roman and Chelsea.

The stupidity of FFP is that Debt is not considered as critical/relevant.

Any attempt by City to point out the stupidity of FFP would be met with , well blatant abusers of FFP.

Actually , what is disappointing is that that other 80 odd professional clubs in the English leagues and more over all the clubs in Spain , France or Germany do not rise up against FFP. Ok Bayern run a profit , but they go to Audi , Allianz for money when needed. It is of course the Allianz arena.

Fat slugs , waffling on is to be expected, their days in the sun are gone. IF the banks and creditors of Madrid and Barca have problems both of them are screwed.

Also, if the Americans that are milking the PL have problems, watch Scouse2, Rags and Chavs squeal.

btw How can Chavs be worth 4 billion ? They now have to pay investors a massive amount of money each year. It will be funny watching them play mid table next year like scouse 2 and rags

No chance .

I'd be very interested to see what our stance is now they've shown their hand.

Good of our friends at BBC/MUFC Sport to pick out that piece of clickbait for desperate rags to headline today's gossip section.

Didn’t their president just say he wouldn’t have made their bench? What a nice way to endear yourself to a player. Do they think players forget?

I saw it on the scouse echo site, complete with repeated micky references to European royalty.

The irony in it is amazing.

Since the takeover, we have never sold a player we desperately wanted to keep.

They are the epitome of a stepping stone club, losing torres, sterling, suarez, coutinho, mane, winaldum and many more too I'm sure - not to mention even their golden child slippy g wanted to go to a bigger club.

They live in this weird little bubble, where they win countless trophies and everything means more.

It's all a bit sad really.

Actually no, it's fucking hilarious and long may it continue

The line of “we are a destination club” was truly laughable.

It was as if Dogleash had written the article himself.

They will challenge next year, but will ultimately likely come short again and once Salah goes next season for nothing and the midfield are all 30+ they will fall back and join the battle for the Wenger trophy

Meanwhile we slowly regenerate our squad a bit at a time and keep going. It's almost as if we have people in charge that know what they're doing and are actually good at it!

The dippers will come 3rd this season - Mane was fundamental in them challenging us .

Salah ? Yesterdays man and nowhere near as dangerous as he once was .
