Koundé is someone we were interested in at the same time as Dias and he’s still only 23. A possible option?

Many City fans share this view of Torres, he's a bit of the short side I suppose but he's a regular in the Spanish national team - then again so was Eric for a while ;)

Is he Catalan?

Worried if so. Seems to cloud judgement sometimes

Ake supposedly agreed personal terms with Chelsea. We surely have a player up our sleeve to replace him. Last season showed you need four centre backs, preferably two right footed and two left footed.

Marc Guehi from palace would be my choice.

Assuming cucarella comes in we would still need a cenrr back is there any chance Mbete or Callum
Doyle could step up? Its a big ask

Has everything gone backwards? It used to be you agreed a fee and then personal terms, but Chelsea seem to be agreeing terms with Sterling and Ake before we’ve agreed a fee. Talk about unsettling a player if no fee can be agreed.

I think that etiquette seems to have gone out the window. Ake sounded like he wanted to stay when Newcastle came knocking. Chelsea is a very different matter and he’d clearly be a first choice. What next Zinchenko to Chelsea?

I’m assuming we also speak to the player before agreeing a fee? Otherwise surely we’d be kicking off about it?

Interesting this. Hope we are going for a defender if he goes.

I think the club sorts these things ages ago.

Our left back Kabore is interesting. More or less player of the African Nations. We've turned down 17M and there's talk of him being loaned to Southampton.

Maybe we'll play him ourselves preferably with Cucharella

Interesting all right because if Ake and Zinch go we need three players to fill the holes.

Could view it like this:

Haaland for Jesus - stronger
Phillips for Fern - stronger
Ortega for Steffan - stronger
Alvarez for Sterling - weaker (assumption as I don't know the first thing about Alvarez)
- stronger if Palmer can get motoring

Defense is a worry:

? to fill the hole at LB (Cucurella?) - disaster waiting to happen if we don't get a top LB in
? for Ake - I understand why he wants to go to Newcastle but without a replacement we are threadbare)
? for Zinch - has to be blocked if we don't get a LB in and even if we do we need a replacement here.

Didn’t know where to put it, but Bellers has joined Kompany at Burnley as his assistant manager.

Zinch is not a very big hole mate. Apart from half a game at the end there, basically in midfield

Who is he? He’s never been mentioned before and is 21 already.
