The decision I believe focused around a video showing the woman in question having a great time, maybe the judge didn't want to disclose the video and the womans lawyer agreed?
Either way he's not out of the woods yet, or is he?
Left hammer+sickle-moon for a much better shade of blue :)

I would say he’s never been in the woods. The info I got last year was that he hadn’t done it and the escorts were all in on it together.

Why would the CPS continue to pursue it? Just because he's high profile and want to 'bring him down?

I’d imagine he’s been advised to “no comment” throughout his interviews until he got to court. If there’s enough there to charge him they will - and he slept with them at the end of the day. It’s then up to the court to decide based on the evidence his team can gather - which like someone has mentioned has included a video of the women all discussing it together when they claimed they all didn’t know each other.

The sky sports news report of the latest updates with the video goes into quite some detail.
The girl continues to lie to the defence lawyer until then she says "you're going to have to look at this then..."
Will she now be prosecuted then?

Probably not, which does not seem fair at all. But I think the reason these sorts of prosecutions take place is to not discourage victims from coming forward.
Tricky.

Agree with the not to discourage other (real) victims from coming forward angle but they should also look to stop the wannabe wags from attempting to blackmail admittedly stupid footballers and the like. In instances where consent is proven beyond all reasonable doubt and or it is apparent that the woman in question has a history of similar - the girl in the Ched Evans case had previous with a rugby league player, then for me, there should be cause for prosecution. Fucking annoys me that there are way too many gold diggers out there but ultimately its on the fuckwit bloke for getting himself in that position.

I'm actually not so sure.
I used to work in a homeless hostel and two of the people living there at the time (man and woman) got into a relationship. She then claimed he had raped her, and he was arrested.
The police obviously decided she was lying and successfully prosecuted her, for that, and several earlier cases of false rape accusations.

This part is the part that's tricky.
But I agree with everything you said, as would most.
I suppose consent could be established via apps, but that's another hornets nest, open to abuse.

I think in this case her sharing the video gave it away. Agree that consent is and always will be the issue

THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Mason Greenwood has finally been charged with attempted rape and assault. It’s taken long enough.
