Everything he touches at the moment seems to fly into the back of the net. His goal against Wolves at the weekend was a mishit, and much was made of his finish against Borussia Dortmund in midweek; some even dared to compare it to Johan Cruyff's goal against Brazil in 1974. It wasn't in the same class, never mind the same competition. Haaland's late winner against his old club in the Champions League, while vital in Manchester City's quest to lift the elusive European title, was a scruffy lunge in a desperate attempt to make contact with the ball. Cruyff's, on the other hand, was a brilliantly controlled side-foot volley as the player remained upright and suspended in mid-air. Admittedly, goals are goals, but some are better than others.

How he gets paid for his opinions I'll never know. It was Cruyff's favourite player Guardiola who made the comparison and it was a goal he scored for Barcelona not Netherlands.

Jesus is a “game changer” according to Shearer. Jesus has 4 goals this season, behind Toney and Mitrovic whilst playing for a better team.

The smoke that’s blown up ex-City players arses when they leave is ridiculous!

That makes him sound like a hater. A really stupid one. He has a very impressive back catalogue filed under stupid.

He's definitely a grade one t**t.
It didn't stop him making Haarland centre forward in his team of the week, did it!

They’re looking more like title contenders than Liverpool, that’s for sure.

I said to a gooner at work i presumed he'd be supporting the rags against us.
He said he'd be supporting us as he sees them as their realistic rivals this season for CL places.
They love Jesus but are also moaning he's got 4 yellows in 7 games for them as opposed to 1 in 20 odd games for us last season so we get favoured by the refs :D :D

I am not sure I would bet much on Arsenal finishing above Liverpool.

Oh dear. Here's the goal I believe pep was referring to. And as rightly said, it was for barca, not Holland.

Haaland's was a far better finish, under much more pressure and the ball was higher.

So shut up crooks you fucking mong.

I see TalkShite's top sports story is a bitching row between Graham Sounness and Jack Grealish which they generated themselves.

They really seem to be on his back and doing their best to unsettle him.

They’re all over Grealish at the moment - making shit up like he’s asked his agent to find him a new club or he’s had a sip of wine at home one night.

That’s why it pisses me off when City fans get on his back. He gets it from the media 24/7, why give it him through his own fans as well?

I was just going to post something similar. He seems to be the new hate figure on here which i don't get. People say when did he change a game for us- well West Ham away last season for us and RM away he was great when he came on but unfortunately the ending of that game means it's not mentioned.
McCoist said this morning on TS that Pep obviously rates him and that's good enough for him. Souness has a shocking managerial record so I know who I'd rather trust.

Seems to me there always has to be a hate figure for City fans in general, and on here in particular, going back as far as I can remember.
Bowyer, Edgehill and countless others right up to Cancelo and Sterling.
Never have understood it.
