Seriously Carl, you should have a look back at your comments on pep since he got here.

Then put them against how much success and how many records he's broken with us.

He has the best win percentage there is as far as I know.

Of course he will make mistakes. But he makes far, far less than any other Manager pretty much of all time.

Now, if you hold all of the above against what you've been saying about him since he got here, it would most certainly be you in the very small club of people who feel that way

We are dreadful since Lillo left.

This is our biggest problem (plus we need a genuine pacy winger plus a proper LB).

I with you mate on this one.
There were a few close ups yesterday on Pep and Borell, then Maresca, they were saying something and he completely ignored them.
I wonder if Domènec Torrent will come back at some point here? They worked together at Barcelona when Pep first started and he was here also.

The point is he needs an assistant he listens too, not someone he ignores.

Fern is missing also.

Lillo’s managing in Qatar, not a major league. If he was this miracle worker then he’d be managing or coaching at a top club.

We won the domestic treble before him. We got 100 points before him.

He himself didn’t make a huge difference. The difference was having a consistent defence (Stones and Dias). That helped us massively.

I think Lillo's role was to convince Pep on doing certain things, imho. He saw some things and had his input, thing we point out here in match threads.
I remember in 20/21, Pep said he had a chat with Sacchi and the italian told him what the team needs and he did that.

Al Saad are doing terrible and are currently 3rd from bottom, so we may have Lillo back soon!

Good man mase

All we need to find is who the common denominator was throughout pep's unrivalled success and get them back.

Of course he makes far less mistakes than most managers but when he does why the fuck do you go off on one when I ,and many others , point it out ffs !!!

His one BIGGEST mistake is not being able to make, more often than not , tactical subs at the right time ?

It costs us and has costed us .Also , why the fuck does he play players who are just not cutting it and he persists on playing them when we have better options on the bench ? Mahrez has been dog shit this season and he plays him - Grealish gave us a match winning performance in the second half the other day (he was embarrassing in the first half ) but what other match has he done that ?

Foden is under par but he’s miles ahead of those 2 when it comes to match winning performances — even when he plays average he’s a better option .

You need to forget who the poster is when it comes to slagging off Pep in a post and instead read the content —- I reckon 99% of fans on here are not impressed with Peps style of in house management when it comes to the use of subs .

I do not think it’s even debatable that peps stubborn and it’s his way or no way - even when the fucking blind obvious is staring at him he won’t sway .

To be fair, Otters was solid in the world cup. Wouldnt mind having him back on current form

Clearly wasn’t a penalty. But to be fair, was it Laporte’s fuck up and handball against Real or Dias’s fuck up dive in and penalty in the second leg against Real that was worse? Happens to them all.

Interestingly Pep said he was pleased overall by City’s performance yesterday. Against a well drilled deep physically imposing defence he felt we had enough chances to win. Stones and Rodri missed good chances. If the first had gone in we’d be celebrating a victory. Let’s not overdo the gloom.

When those chances go in, it's well done to the players.

When they don't, it's bad management. I think that's how it works?

Pretty much

A managers influence once the players are on the pitch is limited. However the manager can make changes during the game if things aren't going to plan and this is an area Pep isn’t renowned for

I dunno mate, I remember not that long ago when he brought on zinchenko and gundo and it worked out perfectly. Possibly the best substitutions I've ever seen.

I do hear what people are saying. He doesn't make as many changes as I'd like during a game when it's not working.

But on the flip side of that, if he was to do what the likes of Carl wanted, we'd probably finish mid table. And then pep would be sacked. And then Carl would be happy.

Hang on... :D

What utter horse shit .
What I want and most other fans want is better in house management when it comes to using subs .

We will give him a bye when it comes to putting out a ‘dodgy’ looking first team every now and then as he’s won more often than not but it’s unforgivable he cannot see anything wrong with how he uses his subs when some
Games are crying out for them

He was bitching for years about wanting 5 subs and now he’s got them he rarely uses 3 and then not until the 80 something minute .

I see it’s pointless talking this debate with you.
