Ake's been great, but I think Pep would've found a solution to get us over the finishing line without him. Without Rodri we'd been toast.

Rodri played 52 games for us last season (mostly starts).
Ake played 38.
As you say, without Rodri we’d have struggled. Hence he was never rested.

I think the thing with Rodri is that he stepped up this year. He had big big shoes to fill after Fern left and he
delivered.
