Ake for me. Hasn’t put a foot wrong all season.

There are a lot of contenders, though.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Ake's been great, but I think Pep would've found a solution to get us over the finishing line without him. Without Rodri we'd been toast.

Rodri played 52 games for us last season (mostly starts).
Ake played 38.

As you say, without Rodri we’d have struggled. Hence he was never rested.

I think the thing with Rodri is that he stepped up this year. He had big big shoes to fill after Fern left and he delivered.

From a guy that turned like a cruise ship to scoring the winner against Arsenal away, scoring a class goal against Villa last game of the season, then scoring possibly the most important goal we’ve ever seen. What a legend.

The thing about midfielders is that they spend 90 percent of their time mopping up for other's mistakes, or move the ball forward, or make the "insignificant" tackle to slow the opposition , or actually win the ball back. Not exactly hero things like putting the ball in the back of the net. Nevertheless very important in the grand scheme of things.

In the CL Final, where TF is the goal coming from ? nowhere,.
Rodri steps up - perfect finish , dare i say , better than most strikers.

We need eleven players on the field not just one or two brilliant players. Rodri has slipped into Fern's boots , perfect fit.
