Apart from the few days of the international break he has been on a month long party. Presumably he has to report back for preseason, hopefully he'll be sober by then.

He’s allowed to do whatever he wants for the next few weeks. Just because our media have a hardon for him and follow him around like weirdos doesn’t mean we should buy into the nonsense they publish.

That maybe but the media frenzy and attention is making him millions, he can't complain. He's getting lucrative contracts off that attention, I bet he loves it. Anyway, I don't care what he does, drinking or Dolly fiddling, as long as he returns fit, that's all it matters to me.

Oh he’s definitely fit.

A leak from it is him questioning Pep’s decision to say he was overweight after coming back from the WC.
"For me, I wasn't overweight, but obviously the manager has seen it in a very different way," said Phillips.
One way to make sure you never play for Pep.

I didn't see his comments as being negative towards the manager. I think the wider context of the snippet is slightly less controversial. Guardiola called him out publicly as overweight which was inaccurate. The issue wasn't about weight, it was body fat % in which case his comments are perfectly understandable - he wasn't overweight, his composition was just off expectations slightly.

Interesting, that’s not what Aguero has said. He mentioned after Pep said Phillips was overweight that you have to be within a certain kg range and even if you’re 0.1kg over what you top end is then Pep classes you as “overweight”.
Clearly Phillips isn’t overweight. But from what I’ve read he was 3kg over his top marker, so Pep would class him as “overweight”
