It started because we decided over COVID to take a knee because a drug addict in the US died whilst being arrested. To continue it is pathetic and it doesn’t help anything. When you have people like Les Ferdinand, who has done so much to help rid of racism in football, come out and say it’s nonsense you need to take note.
"Died while being arrested" .... a pretty stupid remark. Don't think Ferdinand would boo knee taking or fail to join in an agreed cross PL event either. What Vinny said makes sense: "Let’s be honest, this is not something new. It is not something that has happened for the first time so of course I cannot be happy with it. I’m not," he told Sky Sports.“The colour of my skin should make it clear why, in the end, the amount of people that booed is a lot less than it used to be. I believe in working together and that in time these people are part of our family no matter what. We have to change the mentalities. It is a fraction of what it used to be. Not good enough, but progress," he added.
