Alvarez didn't play great. Neither did Rico.

Rodri and walker quality. Haaland amazing the few times he touched the ball. Gvardiol came on but didn't see much of him. Surprisingly so did laporte.

Kev injured with same injury and pre game said he was "surprised" he was playing

Pep shouted at erl at HT for him shouting at bern for not playing him in early

Have a good holiday mate

Thank you mate

Re Kevin he didn’t exactly get injured at the end of the game. He could just as easily have pulled up if he’d come on for half an hour. Same injury supposedly so certainly a worry. Maybe he should have had an operation and come back in September but that’s hindsight.

After only 15 mins, the only way for him to get match fit is to play. If Kev is permacrocked we need a replacement now - very short on play makers - only Phil can fit that role & to some extent Jack perhaps, Bernie & Kova not really suited.

Another ringing endorsement for Phillips. Rodri saying he’s knackered, 3-0 up with 20 to go and he still gets no minutes. If that’s the case, I don’t see when he gets on the pitch. Pep happy to play Rico out of position and put Palmer and McAtee on ahead of him. May as well get rid now while we can. Waste of a squad place.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Inclined to agree.

Unless he's saving him for the Supercup :D

Just read about Komps crying about the booing of the knee. Fans that pay money are allowed to voice their feelings mate. It’s not about colour of skin, it’s about virtue signalling at its finest.

It started because we decided over COVID to take a knee because a drug addict in the US died whilst being arrested. To continue it is pathetic and it doesn’t help anything. When you have people like Les Ferdinand, who has done so much to help rid of racism in football, come out and say it’s nonsense you need to take note.

"Died while being arrested" .... a pretty stupid remark. Don't think Ferdinand would boo knee taking or fail to join in an agreed cross PL event either. What Vinny said makes sense: "Let’s be honest, this is not something new. It is not something that has happened for the first time so of course I cannot be happy with it. I’m not," he told Sky Sports.“The colour of my skin should make it clear why, in the end, the amount of people that booed is a lot less than it used to be. I believe in working together and that in time these people are part of our family no matter what. We have to change the mentalities. It is a fraction of what it used to be. Not good enough, but progress," he added.

Very weird virtue signalling from you but not unexpected. Likely on your usual fishing trip that many others have pointed out you do.

There’s been several players that haven’t joined in with the knee as they’ve said it has become pointless - what makes you think Les Ferdinand wouldn’t do the same?

Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has become the first Premier League player not to take a knee before kick-off. Zaha stood before Saturday's win over West Brom

You’ve quoted what he said, which doesn’t alter the fact he’s wrong. People are allowed to boo a pathetic gesture that has become meaningless.

But Floyd did die whilst he was being arrested, so not a stupid thing to say. 'Taking the knee' just virtue signalling and overrun it's course - if it ever had one. An action starter by an American footballer that chose to play a race card to excuse his selection problems

"Died while being arrested "you also think that's an acceptable description of Floyd's death that should go unchallenged on here eh?

Chauvin, a white man, was convicted of murdering Floyd, who is Black, by kneeling on a handcuffed George Floyd's neck for more than nine minutes during an arrest on May 25, 2020, which sparked protests across the country against police brutality and racism. Chauvin was sentenced to 22-1/2 years in prison.17 Apr 2023
