In yesterdays Edinburgh derby Hibs were awarded a similar penalty and nobody made any issue of it, in fact the commentators phrase was "Is that a handball? Yes it was!"
Even the non-award of a penalty for Liverpool against Arsenal has been dragged out as an excuse not to give us the penalty - "Why is that a penalty if the Odegaard one wasn't". That was a wrong decision and should have been a penalty but should not influence other incidents.

That’s not a recent rule change - that’s always been classed as a penalty. Defender diving in with his arm in the air and it stops the shot from going towards goal. I’m not sure why they’re wheeling this nonsense out.

It allows them to write and say in punditry that it then changed the gane in OUR favour. It has ALWAYS been a penalty in those circumstances but don't let the truth get in the way of your continual attempts to downplay our achievements cunts

I know it's not a recent change. Was actually funny last night watching Owen and Clattenburg have to admit that under the laws of the game the penalty had to be awarded. One thing I don't get is why a 6ft 4in player thinks sliding in to block a shot that's in the air makes him more likely to block the shot, logically if he stood up strong and took the shot to the body or face then we wouldn't be having this discussion as even if the ball had struck his arm with it being in a natural upright position no penalty would have been awarded.

You think back to last season where the Rags got that dodgy penalty in the final where the ball might have grazed Jack’s finger tips. THAT is a proper dodgy one - not last nights!

Absolutely

Actually pointed this out to a rag last night after he was banging on about the penalty. Of course he hadn't seen it, just read about on Sky and the BBC and being a fan of a red shirt, just took it as gospel

This is why the red media do it. They know the great unwashed will lap it up and pass it on as gospel

This off Oliver (the cunt) Holt :

The accused beat the convicted at Goodison Park on Wednesday night when a team facing 115 Premier League charges beat a side that was deducted 10 points last month with a crucial goal that brought forth another deluge of fury and consternation about the handball rule. In the circumstances, it felt like it was a fitting way for the game to be decided.

What an absolute embarrassment to journalism.

Fucking ridiculous isn’t it. Back in the day, journos used to report on the actual game. These bottom feeding shills like Holt, Herbert et al, are a disgrace to their profession.

just made me laught this morning reading the Beebs Gossip collection

First quotes : Re Mbop

"Real Madrid will make a fresh attempt to sign Paris St-Germain's France striker Kylian Mbappe, 25, and have given him a deadline of mid-January to decide if he wants to join in the summer. (Athletic - subscription)"

"Real Madrid will offer Mbappe £23m per year and a signing-on bonus of £110m. (Marca - in Spanish) "

Then this gem from Talkcrap.

"Liverpool are in the running to sign Mbappe because he has a good relationship with the club and manager Jurgen Klopp. (Talksport)"

Well it made me laugh anyway. :)

Indeed it is laughable they are in the running
Further down there is this beauty
Barcelona may offer Mason Greenwood the iconic number 10 shirt if he joins the club in a £40m deal from Manchester United. The 22-year-old forward is currently on loan at fellow La Liga side Getafe. (Sun)

The Sun reported yesterday that the rags had turned down £40m from Getafe for him. They need to make their mind up  Silly season about to begin.

Ryan Giggs could be considered for the vacant managerial position at Salford City. Giggs is a co-owner of the League Two club, who sacked Neil Wood on Wednesday.

From the BBC gossip page. Surely, surely this can’t happen. The football gods aren’t that generous, are they…..

Leads of chavvy workmen all over the place for weeks. Apparently the burglars went straight to the safe and the jewellery "counter". Who has a jewellery counter?

Old bill is looking for whoever tipped off the thieves
