Well Mase , if it is a throwaway comment , why make it ? Throw it away Ayrshireblue made a good point . That had no relevance to city.why bring us into it all.
A game that in all fairness would be just another mid table PL game.
Shocking ball control throughout and one team gets lucky.
The record books will show we conceded 4 goals to that shower of shite. You can spin it however you like, we lost because we weren't good enough over the two legs, being the better team doesn't mean jack if you can't get the job done. Pep and the players have to take full responsibility for their shortcomings.

We lost because we couldn't score 4 more penalties when we were 1 up.
The record books will show we scored 4 goals against the CL Winners, 4 good goals not a couple of freak deflections.
Never mind, only 1 more year of the bald fraud then we can get somebody decent in

I want them next year in two legs again. There is only one team in the world they are afraid at the moment and that team is us.
Really? I think (?) out of the past four CL knockout games against them, we've lost three. They were piss-poor at our this season and they still beat us

Pep always takes responsibility when we lose but the only thing he changed at Wembley were the centre backs and everyone on this board has been screaming for Akanji to be swapped for Stones for months.
The getting it over the line in the league involved going unbeaten from December. The league is the only tournament where the best team wins every year. You can go out of any cup competition with an element of bad luck. Unfortunately that's happened a few times in the CL.
Fully agree with you on the Pep extension, don't think it will happen though

He forced Kovacic in as well, who didn’t start the final game of the season. That totally changed our style of play.
He played two CB together that had been injured.
We could all argue about it but it’s irrelevant, Pep’s already admitted it was his fault.
Get Fat Sam in quick before someone snaps him up.

Kovacic had played the game before at Tottenham- it was hardly like he put him in for the 1st time in months. Was it Pep's fault Gvardiol headed it over Ortega or Walker was caught out of position or a load of top players all had stinkers. He blames himself as he doesn't throw players under the bus.

We shouldn’t have been loading the midfield against a team that parked the bus. Doku, Grealish or Bobb should have been playing. Attack them and they wouldn’t have been able to cope. Or just pass it around the midfield and go nowhere - like we did. So yes, playing Kovacic was a mistake, as he’s already said.
If you’re saying we can’t believe Pep when he admits it’s his fault, when can we believe what he says? He gets all the plaudits when we win, other fans say - “you’d have won nothing without Pep”. Our fans, rightly, agree that without Pep we wouldn’t have won half of what we have won. But when we lose, especially when it’s a change of tactics and forcing players in that have been injured, it’s on Pep. He’s allowed to make the odd mistake.
And I’ll definitely take the odd mistake if it means we win the Treble, 4 in a row, 100 points, etc.
blues2win wrote:Typical Pep is winning four PL titles in a row, winning the treble, chalking up 100 points. My god well miss him. Whingeing about the odd match where he gets it wrong is pretty strange. Anyone who replaces him will almost certainly make many more mistakes

The most sensible post of the thread. Perhaps if we had beaten them we wouldn't have won the Prem, because Pep would have overthought it. We certainly couldn't manage a second trophy against Utd a few days later. Perhaps motivation of the players and manager is just not like it was
