Stones, Lewis, Grealish and Walker will each play 180 minutes and come back even more injured.

Stones isn't in the squad, is he?

Surprised if he isn't but he'll no doubt be kicking every ball from his sofa and hurting himself in the process

Just looked the squad up - no Stones. Lewis, Walker, Foden and Grealish included, though.

Foden and Grealish apparently pulled out of the squad.

In the full interview that comes after that clip he doesn't once say he told him not to go. He actually says he's not a person who can tell him not to go. He spoke to Grealish who said he wants to go, and the national team can call up whoever they like. Putting aside the poor form shown by England selecting a known injured player without contacting the club first, this is all a mountain out of a molehill if you ask me. England picked him and he goes, he gets assessed and he comes home again. It might damage his international prospects if he says he isn't going. So he goes and he has a smile on his face. The shit really hits the fan though if he plays.

He says go if you’re fit, but if you’re not then don’t. You can tell he’s raging! He says he’s spoken with Grealish and Grealish specifically said he wants to go - you don’t need to speak to a player and them tell you they want to go if there’s no issue.

Agree totally Scatman with the last bit of your post

BBC reported that Grealish and Foden both pulled out. Odd that pic of Grealish has surfaced. Maybe they assessed him and have sent him back now?

Right why the fuck would an injured player travel, to be told he's injured or not fit ? Baffling my mind here. Why would grealish think he's fit if he's not ?

Giggs has got only 64 caps for Wales despite a long career. He pulled out of loads and loads of squads due to injury and it was well documented at the time that he wasn't injured. Have they tightened up the rules since then to make it the national tram's prerogative to call up and assess so clubs can't just say their players are injured like United used to?
