First pic I’ve seen of Rodri post surgery.
Why's Carvajal in a leg brace and Rodders not? Is his a more severe injury? Anyone with medical knowledge?
I can spot a spastic a mile away if that helps ?
How terribly un-PC!

The fact that there’s no knee brace may indicate the meniscus wasn’t seriously affected. Mildly good news but he’s out for the season anyhow.

we should leave him to rest until next season - we can't afford to risk any setbacks due to rushing him back

Catch 22 isn't it? On the other hand a couple of halves against dubious quality World Club Championship (or whatever we call it now) teams might be a good way to warm up!
Al Ain or Wydad, whoever tf they are

It sounded from Pep like he might even make the Cup Final. Barring a setback I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get some minutes in the World Club Cup matches. Pep stressed it would be up the doctors.

Yep, very surprised but he said he could be playing soon. Back training with the players apparently

Let's not rush this. We fucked up with overplaying him and not getting a back up, don't force him.
Considering his age and the type of injury, he might never be the same Rodders.
Just be careful.

Pep was very clear the doctors would decide.

The fuck do doctors need to be involved for now? He’s back training - do we not have physios to advise? Pep’s obsession with doctors and cock is weird.

150 mill player will be under 24/7 monitoring. From footwear to diet. Whole new world for Rodders. His every session will be about the details being fed back to his surgeon. It’s a million years from poor old Lakey or the King jogging around Moss Side hoping for a miracle.

I think that the actual surgery now is a million miles away from what it was. I gather they use screws to knit the damaged tendons, so it is actually stronger that it was before the injury.

I hardly think six months is rushing it. The doctors have done their bit, it’s now up to the physios and most importantly Rodri himself, he will know when he’s ready and it seems imminent.
