Foden - time to move on?

Form is temporary, class is permanent. He's been out of form for too long for all of us to be relaxed about it. He'll know it more than anyone, and the only way he'll get back to the class player we all know he is, is with the support of the players, coaching staff and the fans. He, when he's on song will be a major asset to England in the WC, but he has to get there and at the moment, he's nowhere near the squad. As in all sports elite performance is down to ability, which we know he's got in abundance, and confidence which has obviously departed for whatever reason. We need him at his best and the only way he'll get his confidence back is by performing on the pitch when he gets his opportunities. So come on Phil, sort your head out..

Maybe that will wake him up.

Didn't wake Grealish up when he was left out of the Euro 24 squad. He went backwards.

City has been Fodens home. For the best part of 2 seasons he has become a bit part player,

Rico has done Thai boxing since he was a kid - his dad runs a gym for it. Not helped him bulk up or improve his strength on the ball, so not sure that'd help Foden. And we can all remember the injuries Micah started getting when he bulked up...

Seems his form these days is highly dependent on being able to get on the ball in very specific positions around the box. Instead of growing his abilities, hes shrunk to only a subset of what he used to be good at. And even then he seems to be a 1/2 second slower in his decision making, which leads to moves not coming off as much.

Hard to see how he turns it around, because he career atm looks more like mason mount or dele alli than Silva or Lampard

Agreed, he appears to have a large entourage. They seem him as a cash cow. stalled after making young player of the year
