However, that's not what they said at all. Their statement says that Haaland's goal was incorrectly awarded by VAR because they should have handed the decision back to the on-field ref to review on a monitor, as Enzo being in an offside position meant that him being active or not was a subjective decision, to be made by Oliver. Who knows, he may have decided that Enzo didn't interfere in the play, it was just shit defending by that obnoxious muppet Martinez and let the goal stand!

Excellent point TB. And as such this is one of those “subjective offsides”, not dissimilar to judging whether a player is in the line of sight of the goalkeeper for example. Not a carte blanche “the goal was incorrect to be awarded” as the media are inferring

Close enough to the way of playing we've introduced over the last decade to not seem like a drastic change to the players but also enough of his own man and strong willed to change things up to give the whole club the feeling of a refresh that we needed.

And I am loving the way he is handling the press and also seemingly getting a togetherness within the squad.

100% correct, not afraid to call out the injustices we have had in the past, also agree about the team togetherness, I noticed it during Porto game & obviously v rags, bodes well for future.
