Vieira, RSC are the only ones who deserve to be sold. I have been far from happy with Bridge and Richards but I wouldn't want them to leave. Our main problem is gelling as a team. When you go through the inidividuals there aren't that many you'd think should leave, but we have had an air of lacklustre about us for a lot of the season. Toure needs to step his game up.

We need to get rid of a few of the players on the outer:
Logan
Etuhu
Robinho
Jo
Caceido
Bojinov
Sylvihno
Petrov

I wouldn't want us to get rid of more than 3 or 4 of those who are in and around the first XI. We need some continuity. Maybe we could sell:
RSC
Garrido
Richards

I just can't see the need to keep Richards. He's behind Zabaleta (who is not a particularly good RB) at RB and behind Toure, Kompany and Lescott. If the rumours are true about Jerome Boateng signing for us then he would behind him too.

Richards - Yes please.

If I may be so bold, I'd junk your present CB options and start again. Toure and Lescott are not (or are at least no longer) CL quality centre backs.

Granted, they are not two of the best centre halves knocking around but what is a CL quality centre-half?

Even at the group stages there are plenty of CBs worse than Toure and Lescott.

I don't rate Toure at all as he panics and it can sometimes spread to the other defenders. However, I quite like Lescott. He had a dodgy start, especially the game against Burnley, but he looked as good as Kompany when he settled down.

Saying that, we could do with one top quality centre-half with Lescott and Kompany fighting it out to partner the new signing.

I really think there is going to be a lot of casualties this summer, I appear to be almost alone in thinking this, but there you go.
I disagree about lescott not being CL quality, he showed just before he was injured what a decent young CB he is, with a better partner than toure, he'll shine

I certainly agree that the prospect of improvement in Lescott is much better than in Toure. I just think that, in terms of a club that has the luxury of not worrying about cost, there are better out there.

You have 3090 posts. Three thousand and ninety. If just one person had read what you posted each time that would be 3090 occasions that person had read one of your comments but when you multiply that by the number of people on each thread who would have also read your posts, then take all the guests into consideration....

I wonder how many I've read.

I think if we prune the fat off and Mancini gets more time to impose his will;
than we will see a BIG improvement. As last Wednesday showed, we aren't
disciplined or trained well enough for a two match a week season if we want
to make the Big 4.

We will probably see less movement than we expect but a lot more bitching from
the players. Mancini won't spend more than he has too. Our budget sure isn't
the problem.

The money topic is just getting way to old!!

Too right we haven't been gelling as a team. After the Spurs match, I read in the papers a match report that said "Spurs played as a team and City played as a load of individuals". At one point I felt that our defence needed introducing to each other as they were acting like a bunch of strangers not teammates. I know I'm showing my age but I long for the days of the defence with Doyle, Pardoe and Heslop.

Mancini doesn't agree with you if the Daily Mirror are correct. BBC Teletext quotes them as saying Mancini is planning to get rid of 14 of his current squad.

I don`t understand people being precious abot GC. He`s here to do a job which he does very well. He`s never going to be able to please everyone. He`s said a few stupid things. If we`re going to become this big power we all want to be you`ll notice that all big corps have a "twat" figure at the top running them. Microsoft spring to mind. We wont be big and "nice" at the same time. If he`s replaced we`ll only get someone else we have to beat. He does as he`s told at the end of the day by the way...Should his boss go as well?

Pretty basic choices with the possible "sticking your neck out" with Petrov.

I'd add Vieira (brief moments of talent) and Caiceido. I loved Big Phil when he was an unlikely hero in Hughes' first season - but he'll be too far down the pecking order when new Strikers come in. Let him go somewhere else and do a job there.

you will excuse me then if i do not revise my opinion in the face of such evidence.

players will leave, firstly though should be the loanees who have no chance i.e Jo, Caicedo. We should hold off selling off the first team squad until we have finalised our signings - a deep cull would be foolish in the extreme if we don't know who will be replacing those who leave.

Also, i think the core of the side needs to stay together - Given/Hart, Kompany, Lescott, NDJ, Barry, Bellamy, Tevez.
