I believe that.
Cheers
Players like Kaka would consider it an absolute honour to play for Real Madrid and thusly requested the move.
Was there not a better term to use than
"bottled"? I never thought he'd come to City.
Better word my arse, AC Milan and Berlusconi acted like cunts in the whole episode, so fuck them. If I was Cook I'd have used a stronger word than 'bottled' if I was flown over there, and wasn't fed or watered (if reports are to be believed) whilst they treat us like fucktards.
In my opinion City can offer something none of the other top clubs can offer. And no, I'm not talking about just wages here.
it's well documented we haven't won anything for 30+ years. Not a fucking sausage. Now this is an advantage for us.
"
Why is this an advantage edge?"
Well I'll tell you cunts. It's an advantage because any player that joins us and is part of the first team to win something, they will go straight in the history books. Although we're still Manchester City, we're almost a new club, owned by HRH Sheikh Mansour.
Anyone who wins with us now will be remembered in 50 years time, when the Sheikh's son is running it. Similar to say Real Madrid they talk about Puskas and Di Stefano, they started the revolution at Real and are still talked about today.
Players who join us have a chance of this now. If you go to Real or Barcelona they've already won things consistently for a long time. Nobody will raise an eyebrow if you go Barca or Real and win something.
If you come to City and start winning things you will be recognised the world over and talked about for years, no fuck it, centuries to come.
I know that when/if City win their first trophy in my lifetime of watching them, it will be a significant part of my life. I will be telling my kids in 50 years time the team that first won the league with us (in my lifetime of watching them).
If I was Cook I'd be telling players this. Come to City and make history!
"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."
