Would Tevez not be a perfect playmaker pushing on to support the lone attacker in this sort of system, if the above rumours are true?

Mind you, Gerrard would be even better in that position if Tevez does fuck off to Real Madrid

---------Dzeko/Adebayor-----
Silva/Johnson -Tevez - Silva/Johnson
----------Barry - Yaya ---------

Perfrect mixture of steel, guile and height up front

Edit to say, in fact if we started with this 1st game of next season, I think I would cum

Mate - Benitez leaves the Dippers for Inter. Benitez once tried to sign Torres. One idiot writes 2 and 2 = 37. Torres wouldn't leave Manchester because of his kids' school or something.

Touré could be today according to the ever-spouting agent, just need the signatures and one or two 'technical questions'.

I have a bad feeling about this Toure deal... this has Eto'o written all over it again imho... the agent is a dickhead, I wouldn't be surprised if he is just using us as a bargaining tool all along.

I don't Mancini would be silly enough to let Tevez go, even for the reported 40m, because he is quite simply almost irreplaceable for us... unless of course Mancini already has a replacement at the ready...

From everything i've read Mancini always has had a short wish list.

Dzeko
Toure
Silva
Milner
Boateng (DONE)

I think these are the legit names we are going for to compliment the squad as these are the names which keep on recurring almost daily.

These names also would fit into the 150million budget being banded about too. Also the fact city haven't come out and quashed the bold statements from agents and clubs over bids/contracts says to me theres some truth in them imo.

But as usual, lets keep playing the waiting game for now!

Gotta say though i'm craving prem action, this world cup malarky just isn't cutting the mustard for me.

Still think there's another striker on the cards, especially as we're allegedly trying to offload Santa. Ibrahimovic is yer man.

City wont quash anything by the way. Best to just shut the fuck up (someone tell 'arry!)

City have quashed a lot of transfer stories in the past year though, i'm thinking at least if there wasn't anything happening with yaya, city would've released a statement by now and shut his agent up.

Well our friends at the mail are talking about the yaya toure signing being all but announced now.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... l?ITO=1490

I'll be delighted if this one happens. He'll be an absolute hit in the prem, city's essien, no doubts.

Also he looks good in our colours..

I have vivid memories of Yaya making Gareth Barry look like a small rag doll in the Joan Gamper game last season. Totally bossed the midfield that day.

Hope it does comes off and that it's a match made in heaven.

*City are rumoured to be interested in signing Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, but the 30p pricetag may prove to be a stumbling block.

I see the mail reckon Yaya could be playing centre back. Not such a bad idea, but as they have him partnering Kolo I reckon it will be Lescott!

Touré will sign on Monday according to MD this morning:

http://www.elmundodeportivo.es/gen/2010 ... toure.html

Basically says he's concentrating on IC's match against Brazil tomorrow and hasn't been able to undergo the City medical out there in SA.

City want to be sure because of his back problems which led to him having a discal hernia operation in May 2008.

Friend agent says if he wasn't at the world cup it would be all done by now. When the player was transferred from Monaco Seluk cede the 50% ownership of the player in exchange for 20% of any future fee - nice work if you can get it, and probably explains why Barca wanted a bit above rate for Yaya.

The good news for us is that the Barca fans wanted him to stay (70% of them), and so did Pep, but Seluk has made so much fuss and caused dicontent in the dressing room that Barca feel compelled to accept City's offer.

Looking forward to Seluk trying to pick our team then!

Would that be how worried we must have been for RSC's injuries ... laughable

It seems to be true from a good source here in Italy: Dzeko on his way to Eastlands for 26 ml £!
