I'd say this sounds like we do rate him to be sending him out on loan so young......exciting stuff. Although I've never heard of this Hurdy Gurdy FC mob??? ;-)
Manchester City starlet John Guidetti is set to join Swedish outfit Djurgardens on loan.
The 17-year-old striker was lured to City during Sven Goran Eriksson's regime and is very highly regarded at Eastlands.
But with a host of forwards on their books, Roberto Mancini is now set to allow Guidetti to gain first-team experience in his homeland.
Djurgardens have now struck a deal with City and he is expected to spend the rest of the season in Sweden.
"Manchester City are positive to do a loan until the end of May," Djurgardens sports director Stefan Alven told Expressen.
"John has expressed a desire to join Djurgardens and we are interested in signing him."
Bottom table club in the swedish top division, the mighty Allsvenskan. Will be interesting to see how he does, it's a crap league which started early this season after a very cold winter so the playing surfaces are embarrassingly shite.
That's bit harsh. Swedish league is very much same level as bottom of the Championship/top of the 1st div. And the game is quite similar to England. Djurgårdens IF is very decent side and they had probably the best side in Sweden in early-00's. Playing in front of crowds of 10 to 15k every week and getting chance to play against other Stockholm sides will do him world of good.
Good move all things considered.
This feller was in Swedish telly few weeks back on pre-game show and from what I gathered, sounded like bit of a arrogant knob though. Hope it was just my lousy understanding of Swedish.
As it turned out, Djurgarden rejected the loan last minute and he was snapped up by Brommapojkarna instead, they're probably the best team in Stockholm atm, though that's not saying much. They play their home games on the Grimsta IP- stadium, on a plastic turf and with a maximum capacity of 8000, I reckon their average gate will be around 4000.
I thought he came across quite well on TV, very confident absolutely, and he didn't mind telling the reporters a bit what goes on in the dressing room. That Bellers gets pissed off if you speak another language than english, that Tevez hardly says anything (since he hardly knows one word of english) and so on. More outspoken than the average footballer but never crossed the line is my impression, not bad for an 18year old lad
Why do I gather that you don't really like Stockholm as a City, mate? Personally I'd say both AIK and Djurgården have better teams than Brommapojkarna although Brommapojkarna have started the league very well and they were on the box the other week and seemed to be well trained side (although I only watched one half).
Do you know when AIK paly Brommapojkarna. I might try and make it over for that game. Swedes seem to be bit shy about it but truth is Råsunda when AIK is playing another Stockholm side (especially Hammarby) with stadion full to it's almost 40k (to my recollection) capacity it's as good experience as with any top sides Europe and I've been all over to watch football.
Hammarby is my fave Stockholm side but unfortunately they are in Superettan this season.
I'm planning a bit of road trip to Sweden this summer (as I'm skint and can't have a proper holiday this year) going to Kolmården and then probably driving to Gothenburg to see IFK Göteborg game and probably stop in Borås to watch Elfsborg (I always keep my eye on them as a mate of mine used to live there for few years and kind of supports them) and hopefully even Helsingborgs if I have enough time.

I have to admit, for a swede, I'm not really an expert on Allsvenskan. Djurgården just avoided relegation last season while AIK won the league, this year they've been equally poor. For atmosphere I reckon Söderstation, where Hammarby plays, is probably one of the best in Sweden (not sure if it's full this season though), their marching- in song is really catchy as well. AIK- BP is 8th of August
You should PM me if you come to Boras, I actually work there and live closeby

No thats not one of his 3 goals... so add that one and 3 assist and that would be 7 goals in 8 games which Guidetti is involved in.....

I'd be weary of sending any players to Blackpool. I could see them pulling the same crap as Birmingham did with Hart, i.e. making out like the player is better off staying put. I'd send them Onouha on loan. He seems out anyway put this would leave the door open should he prove himself week in week out.
I'd be more inclined to loan Guidetti/Ball/Nimley or similar to Wolves. McCarthy is a man of his word I think so there should be no crap in the papers about them staying longer.
