Anyone just watch the 2nd half highlights on eurosport at the end, should have at very least had another couple tonight.

I only saw the second half but I thought SWeeP was outstanding. He and Silva passing and dodging are quite a handful.

Don't know why people are so down on SWP, even when he's out of form I want to seem him in the lineup. Sentimentality or whatever, I just love the little guy.

Highpoints. NDJ brilliant again, Micah continues Mondays good form. Vieira excellent from the half hour on. Zab, Kompany very good. Goal for SWP, although he was hit and miss besides.

Low point - As much as I hate to say it, 2 letters will do the job. An anagram of Oj.

Agree, also Ade was anonymous, should have scored, just looks like he can't be arsed a lot of the time.

The Dutch commentator on my stream sounds like hes having a tug. Perhaps would have preferred Steve McLaren yesh.

This match is over, hurry up whistle.

I thought it was a crap game against a shitty shitty side.

Ade and Jo were woeful imo, especially Jo.

On the plus side thats 4 games and none conceded and runouts for Boyata (good game he had) and Cunningham.

Dedrick is really growing on me and whilst I was amazed when Bobby picked him for the League Cup semi-finals against the rags and he did pretty good. I can now see what he sees in him. A livewire wild card to have a good impact this season methinks. Granted he played against nowt tonight, yet I see excellent potential in this guy given he's still just a young pup. One in the eye for the rag press who say we're ruining football.

I love SWP but I really think he's just not good enough. He doesn't take on his man nearly enough considering his God give ability and pace. he still lacks a decent cross. I really want him to wow me the way he did when he broke through or when he single handedly destroyed United. Its almost like he's lost a yard of pace. But what really gets on my nerves about him is when we break at speed he gets the ball and instead of turning and getting at the op, he cuts inside, turns and rolls the ball back into midfield giving the stretched opposition time to get back in position. I can't help but feel AJ would of roasted those fullbacks tonight.

Your right, I think he's more of a confidence player than we might think, and I think he's lost his mental place in the team, unsure of himself, doubting himself, and it shows.

Fuclin good to ave him as one of our squad though isn't it. I just told my Bro that I think all we need now is a top jolly striker like Drogba, Dzeko. Super Mario may be the man though but I just ave a feeling that when it comes on top against the big boys, we need a proper goal scorer to put the shits up em.

Don't see why people have got it in for SWP so much.If he is now behind AJ in the league squad surely what he did tonight by scoring a goal should be enough.
And now AJ will be raring to go against Sunderland and Bobby has not had to risk him or worry about him getting injured.
I think SWP has done evrything that can be expected of him.

I feel Benjani was hard done by when I watch Ade at the moment.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Maybe I was harsh on SWP during the match. My take it on it really comes down to this: Is he better than Johnson? No. Is he better than Silva? No. Is he better than Milner? No.

So long as his time is limited to Carling Cup and some Europe League, fine. I think it's outrageous if he gets time in the league squad though.

I used to love watching SWP at Maine Road and Eastlands, where I sit he was so close up and just running past players for fun because he was a free spirit and was our best player. Nowadays he seems too not want to do it, I love the guy but just wish he would do what he is best at. He is our lad and hope he gets it back

Only interested in the result and it was fine , a decent professional although boring performance giving 7 or 8 a decent run out. It was against a pub side though and a poor one at that.

I hear you overall but in certain situations SWP could be preferable, for example for his maturity vis a vis Johnson, defending compared to Silva, or pure speed over Milner. When he is at his best SWP brings a package like no other player.

that was pretty much the way I saw the game. Or to put it other way, I had to go to bed straight after the game. Usually I struggle for sleep after City game because of all the excitement and tension. Last night I fell asleep in five minutes.

But truth is, it's extremely important to give our fringe players a run and also to be able to deal with these pub teams easily.

I was very impressed with Shaun and Boyata. I've been raving about the latter since he got his debut and honestly feel he is the real deal and will be brilliant player for us in the future.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
