De Jong is double hard. Makes keane look like the scruffy little tinker he was.
Are you deliberately trying to give everyone the impression that you're a wanker?
Anyway, back in the world of normal human beings; it's an awful shame what's happened to the lad but having seen it again, if they 'do' DeJong for that, they'd better give Paul Scholes & about 50 other people a retrospective 20 game ban each. I asked two full scale rags about it before I'd seen the replay & neither thought there was even a question of a problem with the challenge.

Wow, there we go. Awesome logic, Teddy. Because you asked two "full-scale".. mind you not "half-scale" but FULL.. rags, and they gave their approval, it's all good, right?
No. It's not. It is my opinion judging by De Jong's wrecklessness last season, his breaking of Holden's ankle, his karate kick in the WC, and the audacious tackle on Arfa, tha Nigel is a thug. If that makes Scholes a thug, so be it. There has to be a standard applied that prevents idiots from legally breaking another's bones.
Just because one "gets the ball first", doesn't automatically make the tackle fair. Well, not to normal human beings.

It was a fair but hard tackle.....quite legal so get off your fucking high horse.

Citeh&Crew wrote:However, I repeat, just because it was "quite legal", doesn't make it a "fair" tackle. I don't know where you,or some of your countrymen get this mentality from (because I see the same nonsense repeated ad nauseum). Of course, it must be mentioned that plenty of English football fans also condemn De Jong.
Regardless, De Jong followed through with the other leg and scissored Arfa, when he had no need to do so. If you cannot extrapolate intent from that, then you must at least conclude that De Jong is an absolute brain-dead footballer with no concept or care for whether or not he will snap another's leg. There's no need for that in the Prem. If it continues, those who can actually.. you know.. play proper football will shy away from the league.
All the nonsense about "how it used to be" in English football is just that: nonsense. The sport has changed to a faster paced game with those who have far more ball-skill than in the past. (I've seen old games from the 80's and I believe even one from the 70's. I'd have had more fun watching paint dry. ) The enforcement of rules need to change accordingly. No one is asking to "sissify" the game; simply start handing out bans for blatantly wreckless tackles that either endanger or injured a player. Furthermore, hand out bans that are the equivelant of however long the injured player is out.

So, in your opinion, there was no excessive force used, Tokyo? Just curious as to your take. Perhaps it was an awesome, but "unfortunate" tackle, eh?

Now what I pretend from Mancio is this lad must be punished! City aren't like rags, Nigel couldn't become our Roy Keane and he must learn to fight with his heart and, much more than now, with his brain.
A month playing with our reserves shall be enough for him!!!
I hope you're not serious, it wasn't such an outrageous tackle. Injuries happen in tackles but it doesn't automatically mean NDJ is a criminal, he got the ball first, and then collided with the player, how many times does that happen in games? Do all players who make tackles like that get sluaghtered this way by the media? I don't think so.
I never say NDJ is a criminal! He made a mistake and it's not the first time in his career. Mancio must talk with him very carefully or we would pay for his foul very early in this season!
