Kompany for captain

Personally I think the captaincy is cursed and should be given to somebody we don't want anymore.

From memory our last few, Disitn wanted to fuck off, Dunne was outed, Kolo went to shit and now Carlos wants out. Give it to Stuart Taylor or someone please.
Tracking back is overrated.

Dejong. Let Kompany concentrate on his own job.

I don't think it really matters. Mancini seems to drill his teams to the point where a captain position is more of a figurehead. Kompany or DeJong should get it IMO. Kolo is playing well without it. Vincent is very vocal on the pitch and I'm not sure it would make any difference to his commitment or passion. De Jong is suspended for the Everton game so it can't be him.

Deffo Kompany for the Everton game. If it does seem to affect his game, give De Jong a try in the next game. I suspect Kompany will be extremely proud to wear the armband.

We should give it to a player who seems to really want to be here (big wage or not) and Kompany seems to fit that bill, while also being a natural leader anyway.

If there is someone on this team who has been here longer than Thursday, ala Micah or SWP, give
it to them. Either that or stick it in a Wheaties Box and let the lucky chap start!!

I have ben thinking about this for a while.Although not my preference my gut feling is that it will be handed to Toure as hes vice captain and based on his form you could not say he would be undeserving.

I would love to see De jong or Kompany get it, i think either would thrive in the role.Honestly not sure who my preference is but its good that the club has so many good options. We are very fortunate as we have plenty of players in the squad capable of leading the team.

I want Kompany to be our captain. My only concern is that Kolo might get upset if he is passed over.

I think that the majority of our squad are professionals. I mean, nobody has mentioned Barry. He did a great job at Villa for years and he's playing very well for us. Kolo did it at Arsenal. The team is loaded with captains.

My worry is how it will affect our resident child that is Tevez.

?????

And not let De Jong concentrate on his??? Besides Kompany's place on starting line up is cemented as things stand. There are lot of games where it's debatable whether De Jong should even dress. Also, what gives you the idea that he is any sort of leader in the dressing room? Because he tackles hard???

Kompany is easily the most obvious for the arm band since Andy Morrison.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Alright. Alright. Alright. My real vote Kompany. It would be stupid to think of anyone else.

Not saying that. But being captain can have a detromental affect. Look at Toure last year. Or even Distin. Kompany is playing out of his skin at the moment and only needs to focus on his own job, not other players.

Dejong seems the obvious choice.

Apart from the fact that he's suspended for the next game, I agree.
