Personally I think the captaincy is cursed and should be given to somebody we don't want anymore.
From memory our last few, Disitn wanted to fuck off, Dunne was outed, Kolo went to shit and now Carlos wants out. Give it to Stuart Taylor or someone please.

?????
And not let De Jong concentrate on his??? Besides Kompany's place on starting line up is cemented as things stand. There are lot of games where it's debatable whether De Jong should even dress. Also, what gives you the idea that he is any sort of leader in the dressing room? Because he tackles hard???
Kompany is easily the most obvious for the arm band since Andy Morrison.

Not saying that. But being captain can have a detromental affect. Look at Toure last year. Or even Distin. Kompany is playign out of his skin at the moment and only needs to focus on his own job, not other players.
Dejong seems the obvious choice.
