Rubbish. I expect City to attempt to win every game and attack the opponents, especially at home. It was such a good opportunity to beat them. We have beaten far, far better United sides in the past with much worse teams.
United did attack, but they had no luck as we had 11 men behind the ball. We were scared of them. We should have pushed them right up the pitch, got right in their faces and thrown bodies forward in the attack.
Even if we beat United at OT, it makes no difference to the game in November. We bottled it, fact.
Like I said, this argument has been done to death and will only be settled on 12th Feb at OT. If we take 4pts off them for the season, I will deem it a success. If we take 2 pts for the season I will be OK with it. You will probably moan that we didn't get 6pts. Such is life and we're all entitled to our opinion.
I'm not a pesimist, but decades of watching City have made me a realist (with an unrealistic dose of optimism every now and then)

We would have either won, drawn or got beat. As the Scum haven't been beat by anyone all season, I doubt we could have done it at that time. I think we'd have been chasing the game from very early on and been soundly beaten by a team that at that time was better equipped to win the game. Last season we missed out on a Chumps League place by a point. This season, I'll take the points where they happen. Epsecially against decent opposition.
To keep harping back to the derby and how we could/should/might have won it is just plain daft. Mancini got his tactics right IMO and will no doubt be proved right at the end of the season.
