you compare the attitude to balo with that to jo - i would say that jo tries but isn't good enough. not his fault and fair play to him., whereas balo has the talent but a shocking attitude. and if we are to be mercenary about it (as football is) i don't give a flying fuck if his "background" (poor twat - poor little boy, read the article in today's observer about shefi kuqi's "background") is difficult.
i truly can't see that he will ever be anything other than a spoilt little cunt - even when he's 85 and wetting his pants.
the point is, for now, i see his name on the team sheet and think "oh fuck - we've only got ten men".

I think that you make a very valid point Slim and I think the uncertainty of his City future is a cause for concern and i don't really have an answer. Should we continue to be so reliant on Tevez, and were he to leave, he would leave a huge gap and damage our development.
I don't really have a problem with Tevez being somewhat selfish, as his primary job is to be the expression and outlet of the team.
In general play, he brings energy and talent to the team.
My hope is that he finds his future with either Dzeko or another partner and finds his home within the city team.

Ballotelli has an attitude problem and people on here defend it??? give me a fucking break.,,,the guys a fucking loon.
John has said it in a nut shell - Ballotelli is not a team player.....not even close to being one imo.

I believe I am advocating patience for a new signing rather than defending him, maybe it didn't across well enough.

Not a chance imo but I only hope he stays with us long enough to get to 50.
There's no way he'll get to 50 goals quicker than Tevez. Its nearly impossible.
Agreed. Don't think he will be around long enough to get anywhere near 50 - if he does, then great but I can't see it.
According to Daniel Taylor in The Guardian, Balotelli had dizzy spells and vomiting after the game and was rushed to hospital, but tests came back OK. That's him on the sidelines again by the looks of it.
If he is around long enough, I think he can do it. A lot of people in this thread are forgetting that he is our 2nd leading scorer this season and has 8 goals in 11 games. He's well on pace to do so.

So you would rather have a player with less talent and a more even temperament, than someone with more talent but a more eclectic personality? One has the ability to possibly win the league, the other has the ability consistently to finish mid-table. I'd rather take a gamble at glory than go for safe mediocrity.
Ted Hughes wrote:In his 1st proper hour of football after injury, Balotelli didn't work as hard as Tevez sometimes does but did as much work as 90% of any other attacking players in world football, showed some sublime touches, had one wayward shot, got tackled twice, won the ball back twice when others gave it away, got fouled in the penalty area, was disappointed to have to go off. Lokked very very promising for the future in his bits of link ups with & movement around Dzeko. About 6 out of 10 performance.
The rest is a load of totally unreasonable, tabloid standard, fucking shite.
