So now we are stuck with Lescott...ohh dear god, would love too see this back four;
Kolarov - Kompany - Richards - Zabaleta
I like Lescott - I think he holds a good line. Don't forget we've got a couple of budding youngsters who can come in like Boyata (though thinking about it he might still be a bit green).

I have two of my best mates that take whafarin/blood thinkers BOTH in there 40's one because he got DVT, the other because of a defribulating heart condition, so not only for oldies. Yes it will kill a fookin rat, if doses are correct, do you think humans would be prescribed it if fatal!!! So will many other things, total bollox!!
For now, he is innocent until otherwise proven guilty, simple as.
Suspension is automatic like it would be any job where drug testing is present.
Word.

Reliable source tells me substance Toure tested for is "not performance-enhancing, and was unintentional" - suggests supplement/remedy
...but if so, begs question as to why Man City's ranks of medical staff didn't know what he was taking and if it contained banned substance
Toure is refusing to comment tonight, as has been told by City not to say anything at this time.

blues2win wrote:Alioune Toure mate you missed my point which wasn't total bollox. The great majority of people prescribed coumadin are elderly. I didn't say all people. It would be very unusual for someone as young as Toure to be prescribed although obviously not unheard of. The point about rat poison was just to underscore that it is a medicine not a recreational drug. I can't imagine anyone taking coumadin except on prescription by a doctor for a medical condition. If that was the case the Club would have known about it in advance and it could be proven he was acting on doctor's orders. It doesn't add up. i don't believe it.

I assume you meant to put a question mark that? Opposed 'word' meaning in slang terms that you agree?
Deep vain thrombis (SP?) Caused in his case by too much flying. Which is more common in older people mainly in hospital beds from not moving around enough, a circulatory problem I believe?

Own goal there
"the FA has informed Kolo Toure that an ‘A-sample’ provided by him has tested positive for a specified substance."
I repeat City say the FA say it's a specified substance. All you have to do is google that and you can find that there's specific meaning to that phrase.
The statement has been very carefully worded.
Of course it's ambiguous because so little has been said, but I think you are wrong and too hasty by far to condemn your own

They know full well not to take anything without passing it by medical staff first that includes things such as asthma inhailer's, headache tablets, cough medicine, nasal sprays and even sports drinks. There are lists of ingredients that are banned at every club in the country so I'm baffled how this has happend.
