Hey this has nothing to do with Adebayor but as you, apparently, are a Real Madrid fan I'd like to ask you a question. As Raul has been one of my favourite players of all time, it was a bit sad to see him fade "a bit" in his late RM years. But did that affect how people in Madrid think of him? Is he still the hero/legend he was or was it more like "good riddance" stuff when he left.

His departure was a big kick in the teeth for the fans his farewell was scheduled for 7pm but was held at 11am 8 hours earlier to avoid the presence of people who disagree with letting him go but in all fairness Raúl wanted to leave to get 1st team football. He burst on the scene out of nowhere and benched Butragueño best all time Spanish 7 and local legend, now to Raúl happened a similar thing young Higuaín appeared from nowhere to bench him and Raúl like Butragueño had to make a way for the good of him and the club.

Good to hear he was still loved even when he didn't really set the world alight
Adebayor: "I will do everything I can to stay on with Real Madrid"
RealMadrid.com
In a brief interview with Spanish newspaper AS, Emmanuel Adebayor affirms that signing for Real Madrid was a dream come true.
"I was born happy. No one can be as happy as I am now. Playing here is a dream come true and I now feel useful again."
"The shooting during the African Cup of Nations was the worst thing that ever happened to me. It helped me grow as a person. I now know that you can die at the blink of an eye. I should be dead, but I am alive and playing for Madrid. What else can I ask for? Nothing."
"There is a great vibe in the dressing room. Everyone has been very nice. I try to repay their kindness by training as hard as I can and giving my all. I will do everything I can to stay here. All I want to do is win titles. La Liga is not over yet and anything can happen in the 90 minutes of the Copa del Rey final."
"Lyon are always a tough opponent whether Lisandro plays or not. I know them well. I hope we come out full throttle and ready to put up a fight. I want to win the Champions League and I don’t care about personal success. Give me a contract stating that we will win the Tenth 2-0 with two goals by Benzema and I will sign it."
"When I arrived I said that I am here to help Benzema, not to harm him. He is doing an incredible job and we all have faith in him."
"Ozil is a genius. He has one-of-a-kind vision for the game. He has two eyes in the front of his head and two eyes in the back."
